dilemma

I just got back from Katie's to hear a beep on my answering machine, assuming it was my mother since everyone else calls me on my cell. It turned out to be a message for Rachael from Lisa at Nordstrom regarding the application I filled out a couple days ago. Aaaaahhhh!!!! Steve Madden would have to be much less stressful. It's smaller, not a lot of clean up, less stock. But at Nordstrom you make the big bucks. It's like $9.50 an hour plus commission.

Let's weigh the pros and cons.

Nordstrom
Pros: big paychecks, discount on the clothing, Viri and Lindsay work there
Cons: dress code, required top of the line customer service, cleaning up the store

Steve Madden
Pros: salary not as good but it does include commission, small store, working with fave manager Jamie and best work bud Kesha, JoJo the manager is supposed to be awesome and sweet as hell, good music, manager's said her priority is having fun, no dress code except Steve Madden shoes, 40% off my fave brand of the shoes
Cons: just not making as much as I would at Nordy's

I'll see how my interview goes tomorrow.

But also, I really want to go to San Francisco with Katie in a couple of weeks, but it's horrible timing. I'd be gone the 13th through the 16th but the Steve Madden store opens on the 11th! Definite problem.
